As a person that cares very much about decreasing the amount of bullying, I have to say that our country has not made the connection between bullying and sibling abuse. Research, in regards to siblings, has always been on birth order. 19 million children are abused by siblings. 10% of the murders are caused by children. Children are becoming increasingly aggressive. Our culture tends to think that it caused in school settings. Nothing could be further from the truth. Because of our economy creates two wage earners and lack of supervision, the societal conditions are excellent for children to administer or receive bullying in their home.
We are up against alot as we go forward. Parents need to have weekly family meetings and be investigative in regards to bedroom arrangements.
